Ingibjörg Ósk Þorvaldsdóttir
ceramics are all made by hand using porcelain and stoneware in her studio at
Íshús Hafnarfjarðar. Her interests lie in reinventing ordinary objects that we
use in our daily life by changing its form, material and texture. Ingibjörg
likes the interplay of different materials. For example the use of wooden beads
around her coffee- and teapot “All dressed up” that insulates it and makes
it safe to hold.
Most of Ingibjörgs inspiration stems from the nature around her, its simple
shapes, colours and the contrast between light and dark. Serving food and
creating a nice atmosphere.
